Story Synopsis

Things have barely settled from the excitement and resolve of the original Back to the Future, when in pops that crazy inventor Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd) with news that in order to prevent a series of events that could ruin the McFly name for posterity, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox ) and his girlfriend are whisked into the future to the year 2015 where McFly must tangle with a teen rogue named Griff, who's obviously the descendant of Biff, the first Future film's bully. Marty foils Griff and his group when he jumps on an air-foil skateboard that flies him through town at rakish speeds with the loser bullies beaten again.

McFly gets a money-making brainstorm before hopping in the time-traveling DeLorean and he purchases a sports almanac. He figures that back in 1985 he'll be able to place sure-fire bets using the published sports scores of the games that are yet to happen. Unfortunately for Marty, Dr. Brown disapproves of his betting scheme --(he feels too much messing with time is very dangerous -- and he tosses the almanac. A hidden Biff overhears the discussion about the almanac, sees it get tossed out, and grabs it.

Thus begins a time traveling swirl to make the head spin. Biff swipes the DeLorean, heads back to 1955, and with the help of the unerring almanac, bets his way to power. The now-altered "Biff world" has turned into a nightmarish scene with Biff the mogul, residing in a Vegas-styled pleasure palace and running everything. It's all our hero McFly can do to pull the pieces together this time, as he must jump between three generations of intertwined time travel. The end of Back to the Future, Part 2 introduces its sequel as the zany Professor has already time-dashed away to the Wild West of the late 1800s and invites Marty into a new adventure.

Main Characters

Marty McFly was born i ns1968 and is the youngest of three children. He Playes Lead Guittar in a Rock Band the Pinheads. He is an Excllent Skateboarder and Ateends Hill Valley High. His Girlfriend is Jennifer Parker.

In the first film he went back in time and changed hisoty so his parents wouldn't get together. So he had to get  George McFly and Lorraine Baines back together. Despite Endangering his own existence he managed it. But No Sooner was he back in 1985 but he was told he had to go into the future.

One of Marties Great Skills is his corague this assists him in the first film, but becomes his archilles heel in this film. Marty was too eager to fight or take dares whenever someone called him "chicken", which caused him to break his guitar-playing hand in an automobile race in 1985 and ruined his dream of becoming a rock star. In the future, he has married Jennifer and had 2 kids, Marlene and Marty McFly Jr, but none of them are  really happy.

Doc Brown is a fictional character central to the Back to the Future movies created by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale. Doc Brown, who was portrayed by Christopher Lloyd, is the inventor of the De Lorean time machine in which he and his friend Marty McFly do their time travel.

Emmett L. Brown was born in 1920 in Hill Valley, California and at age 11 discovered the works of Jules Verne. This led him into a career in science, and in 1955 he came up with the idea of the flux capacitor after slipping from his toilet and bumping his head. The flux capacitor is what makes time travel possible. The time machine suffered a setback on August 1st 1962 when Doc's mansion burnt down, but he was soon back on track and on May 23rd 1983, he was commended and won an award.

Doc finally finished installing his time machine in a DeLorean sports car in 1985, using plutonium to power it, and was killed by the Libyan terrorists who had given it to him. In return they had wanted a bomb, and he had made a non-working one out of used pinball machine parts. Fortunately, Doc's friend Marty McFly was accidentally sent back to 1955, where he warned Doc about the terrorists. When 1985 rolled around again, Doc wore a bulletproof vest for protection.

Doc and Marty have embarked on a series of adventures to 1955, 2015, an alternate 1985, and 1955 again where the De Lorean, with Doc inside, got struck by lightning and was accidentally sent back to 1885. It was here that Doc met his future wife, Clara Clayton, whom he now currently resides with in the Old West with their two sons Jules and Verne and uses a modified train locomotive with a time travel function.

Biff H. Tannen is a fictional character in the Back to the Future films — he acts as the town bully and opposes the hero of the series, Marty McFly. The role of Biff Tannen is played by Thomas F. Wilson.

Biff was born on March 26th, 1937 in Hill Valley, California, and lives with his grandmother, Gertrude Tannen, at 1809 Mason Street in Hill Valley — the fate of his parents is unknown. He isn't very bright and only gets through school by bullying George McFly to do his homework for him. Biff is noted for malapropisms: for example, he thinks the saying is "make like a tree and get out of here" instead of "make like a tree and leave."

Biff had to repeat a year of high school, thus explaining why he was in the same year as George and Lorraine Baines McFly, despite being a year older than them. Biff is feared by most of his schoolmates. He is less brave when he is without his gang. He also has a crush on Lorraine and constantly refers to her as "my girl." Lorraine does not return the sentiments.

By 1985, Biff was still bullying George, only as his supervisor rather than the school bully, and still lusting after Lorraine, who had married George. However, things changed when the McFlys' youngest son, Marty McFly, accidentally traveled back through time to 1955 and interfered with his parents' first meeting. Marty, using the anachronistic name "Calvin Klein," also managed to get on the wrong side of Biff, and this led to Biff finding and trying to get his way with Lorraine. George came and knocked Biff out to save Lorraine. When Marty returned to 1985, he found George was now much more confident and Biff now owned an auto detailing business.

Biff is still waxing cars by 2015, at the age of 78. When he heard that Doc Brown had invented a time machine, he stole it and went back to 1955 with a sports almanac to give to his younger self.

Young Biff used the sports almanac to bet on horseraces, since he now knew the results. Biff soon became very rich and powerful and on March 15th, 1973 murdered George McFly. He married Lorraine not long afterwards but the money and power had gone to his head and he treated her horribly. Biff built a casino hotel, legalised gambling and helped Richard Nixon remain president of the United States until 1985. This went on until 1996 when Lorraine finally shot Biff. This version of reality was erased when Marty and Doc went back to 1955 and got the almanac from Biff before he could use it, so the series has now gone back to a timeline where Biff Tannen is waxing cars. top film

Lorraine McFly, a fictional character, is the mother of Marty McFly in the Back to the Future films. Lorraine Baines was born in 1938 in Hill Valley, California as the eldest child of Sam and Stella Baines. She is played by Lea Thompson.

She was very popular with the boys at school, attracting the attention of both George McFly and Biff Tannen. Her two best friends are Betty and Babs. She originally met future husband George in 1955 when her father almost ran him over with his car. Lorraine and George married and had 3 kids, Dave, Linda and Marty. By 1985 she was depressed at how her husband couldn't stand up for her and also smoke and drank a lot. She would always tell her children not to park in cars with boys, since she never did that when she was their age.

Her life changed in 1955 when "Calvin Klein" showed up in town. Unaware it was her future son Marty, who had travelled back in time in his De Lorean time machine and had accidentally interfered with her first meeting with George, she developed a crush on him. Marty knew he had to get his parents together to prevent himself from being erased from existence and so set up a plan where he would pretend to park in a car with Lorraine, and the wimpy George would "rescue" her from him. Unfortuantely, bully Biff Tannen showed up instead and tried to force his affection on Lorraine. George arrived and rescued her by punching Biff. Lorraine fell in love with the newly-confident George and by 1985 she is much healthier and happier than she had been in the original 1985.

We also see a third version of Lorraine in a third 1985. In this timeline Biff had received a sports almanac in 1955 from his 2015 self and had become rich. Biff had murdered George in 1973, although Lorraine did not know it was Biff. Biff and Lorraine married soon afterwards and by 1985 she was trapped in a loveless, abusive marriage. Luckily, Marty and Doc Brown went back to 1955 and stopped Biff from using the almanac, so the timeline went back to normal.

As a teenager, she smoked, drank liquor, sat in parked cars with boys and cheated on tests (in a scene that was edited out of the movie), proving she wasn't as sweet and innocent as children thought she was. As an adult, Lorraine likes playing tennis with her husband and gossiping with her friends.

Film Trivia

When Doc sees the future newspaper headline change to tell him that he was "commended" instead of "committed," a headline at the bottom of the page changes from "Nixon seeks fifth term" to "Reagan seeks second term."

A movie theater advertises "Jaws 19", directed by "Max Spielberg". Executive producer Steven Spielberg, who directed Jaws (1975), has a son Max.

Elisabeth Shue was cast as Jennifer, and all the closing shots of Back to the Future (1985) were reshot for the beginning of this film. Persistent rumors are that Claudia Wells (Jennifer in Back to the Future (1985)) was in no condition to act any more.Crispin Glover played George McFly in Back to the Future (1985), but was replaced by Jeffrey Weissman in Part II. Weissman was made up to look like Glover so that this film could incorporate excerpts from the original.

Glover had not granted permission for the reuse of his scenes, and sued Steven Spielberg. The suit was settled, and the Screen Actors Guild introduced new rules about illicit use of actors.

Young Biff is heard saying after he receives the Sports Almanac, "Florida wins the World Series in 1997? Yeah, right." Well, 8 years after the film was produced, the Florida Marlins, a team that didn't even exist when the film was produced, won the World Series in 1997.

Marty and Doc return to 1955 to retrieve the book from Biff.

Notice that at this point in the timeline, (until approximately 6:38 PM on November 12th, 1955), there were at least THREE manifestations of the same DeLorean existing simultaneously!

  1. DeLorean #1 WITHOUT Mr. Fusion (For Marty's trip home to 1985)
  2. DeLorean #2 WITH Mr. Fusion (The DeLorean Biff stole from 2015)
  3. DeLorean #3 WITH Mr. Fusion (Marty & Doc's transportation to 1955)                                                  And Maybe....????
  4. and Maybe....??? Delorean #4 WITH Mr Fusion (Doc Stored in the Mine in 1885 for Marty to Find in 1955)...Depends on if you perceive time as a Winding Road or a Flowing Stream.!!!! If The Doc is Destend and Must go to 1885 then the Delorean Will be there.

Keep in mind, these are all the same vehicle, just at different points in our time travel chronology. Any interference with either DeLorean would cause a paradox that would ultimately negate their existence.

Neat, huh?

Temporal Odometer: 14 trips (at this point)

  1. Einstein ahead 1 minute
  2. Marty to 1955
  3. Marty to 1985
  4. Doc & Einstein to 2015
  5. Doc & Einstein further ahead to see what happens to Marty
  6. Doc back to 1985 to get Marty
  7. Marty, Jennifer & Doc to 2015
  8. Biff steals Delorean and goes to Nov. 12, 1955
  9. Biff returns Delorean to Oct. 21, 2015
  10. Marty, Doc, Jennifer & Einstein "return" to the Bad 1985
  11. Marty & Doc travel back to 1955
  12. Doc accidentally travels to 1885
  13. Marty travels back to 1885 to get Doc
  14. Marty travels to 1985 (the DeLorean's final trip through time)

The football scores Biff hears on the radio while driving are all actual scores from November 12, 1955, and the UCLA/Washington game he and old Biff listen to did indeed end with UCLA kicker Jim Decker hitting a last second field goal to win.

The ledge on the clock tower that Doc broke in the first movie is still broken in 2015.

The RL View

The Beauty about  Back to the Future Part II is the more it is seen the better it is enjoyed. Virtually No one Understands it first time with all the Time Jumps and Four Dimentional Theory. But The Look into the Future Combined With Alternate 1985's Vision of  Hell. (Maybe it Should Have Been Set a Year Earlier for a Great Owellen Twist). And the  intertwing of the Actual First Film Scenes Where are Re-Mastered and a Superb Climax Make it My Favourite Film of All Time. It Proves Again My Theory about Trilogy Films is the Second Part of any Trilogy is Usually the Best. The first Back to the Future was an Amazing Film it did change my life, but Back to the Future Part II Took Me a Stage Further Opening My Mind to New and Brilliant Possiblities like nothing Before or Since. In My Oppion is it the Best Story evrer Told.
